Dr. Hutchinson is dedicated to continuing education to maintain and improve his clinical skills. He received a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry after an extensive amount of coursework in a variety of dental subjects. This keeps him current on developing trends in dentistry. In addition, he has worked for many years with the Washington Business Week program that mentors high school students in leadership skills.
Dr. Hutchinson donates his time to many local charitable and service organizations. He has worked on the Washington Dental Service Foundation SmileMobile for many years to serve children in need. He currently is working on development of a dental residency program at Providence St. Peter Hospital and participates in the annual Olympia Union Gospel Mission Dental Benefit.
Giving back to a world that has been so kind to him is a big part of his life. Every year, he travels to Zihuatanejo, Mexico, along with other dedicated healthcare professionals to provide free dental service. He has been involved in the Kiwanis service club for more than 25 years and is a sponsor of numerous fundraising activities in the area.
Family and Hobbies
Dr. Hutchinson and his wife Margaret have three grown children and four amazing grandsons who are the source of so much joy in their lives. He is a very outdoorsy person and loves gardening, hiking, and nature photography. His lifelong passion is capturing the perfect waterfall image.
